Japaul Executive Management Team

Mr. Akinloye Daniel Oladapo is the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Japaul Oil & Maritime Services Plc. He holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Urban & Regional Planning from The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Postgraduate Diploma and M.Sc Degree in Transport from Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye (now Olabisi Onabanjo University).

He worked for several years with Dapkol Engineering Limited, where he rose to the position of Project Manager, before he resigned his appointment in 1997. While with Dapkol Engineering Limited, he contributed immensely to the successful completion of various projects undertaken by the company, including the EEC sponsored projects under Lome II Convention.

He has been a member of the Board of Directors of Japaul Oil & Maritime Services Plc since 2008 where he rose to the position of the Deputy Group Managing Director of the Company, and Acting Group Managing Director before his confirmation as Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer in 2018. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Transport, London, and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Shipping.

Engr. Talabi Abayomi holds the esteemed position of Group Head, Business Development at Japaul Oil and Maritime Services Plc. Commencing his journey with Japaul in 2006 as a procurement officer, he swiftly ascended to become the pioneering staff member of the Business Development department. Over the years, Engr. Abayomi has demonstrated unwavering dedication and made significant contributions to the company's growth and development.

His profound understanding of the company's operations, coupled with his strategic acumen, has resulted in tangible success and noteworthy achievements. Recognizing his exceptional performance, Engr. Abayomi has risen to a leadership and management role within the organization. Additionally, he serves as the Nigerian Content Focal Person, showcasing his commitment to local content development.

Engr. Talabi Abayomi is a highly qualified professional, holding a Master's degree in Engineering Management, a B.Eng. in Petroleum Engineering, and an HND in Chemical Engineering. He is a respected corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and COREN, nderlining his commitment to excellence and adherence to professional standards.

David J. W. Dawson currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Japaul Gold & Venture Plc. He graduated from Lakehead University, Canada, with a B.Sc. in Geology, and also holds an Equivalent B.Sc. in Geophysics from the University of Western Ontario, Canada.

Before assuming the role of CEO at Japaul Gold & Ventures Plc, David was the Owner and Co-founder of Insight Geophysics Incorporation in Oakville, Canada. His professional journey includes key positions at Quantec Consulting Incorporation, where he served as the President of Brazil Operations in Rio De Janeiro, RJ, Brazil.

He also held roles at Quantec Consulting Incorporation in Timmins, Canada, as the Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Canada, and in Toronto, Canada, as a Senior Field Geophysicist. With an impressive career spanning over 40 years, David has extensive experience in solid minerals exploration and mining operations across South America, Europe, and various African countries.

Mehdi Banki holds a B.Sc. degree in Geology from Azad University (Shahroud, Iran) and a Masters of Engineering in Mining with a focus on Applied Geostatistics from the University of Alberta (Edmonton, AB, Canada). Prior to his role as a Consultant Exploration Geologist at Japaul Gold & Ventures Plc, Mehdi served as a Project Geologist at Aurora Geosciences Ltd and as a Core Logging Geologist for Brixton Metals Corporation in British Columbia.

He also worked as an Associate Geologist at Ore Control Mining in Vancouver, BC. Before relocating to Canada, Mehdi held the position of Project Geologist at Finab International Company in Qom, Iran, and also served as a Project Geologist for the Gold Project at Barkerville Gold Mines in British Columbia. His extensive experience includes roles as an Exploration Geologist for Prodigy Gold Incorporation, New Pacific Metals Corporation, and Tyhee Gold Exploration at various locations in Canada.

Additionally, Mehdi worked as a Project Geologist at Silvercorp Metals Incorporation in British Columbia. He is a member of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (Reg. No. 98349) and Engineers and Geoscientists BC (Reg. No. 51281). With over 20 years of experience, Mehdi has contributed to solid minerals exploration and mining operations in Asia and South America.

Bishop Amoo is currently the Lead Consultant for Japaul Gold & Ventures Plc, the position he has since occupied in 2017. Prior to the commencement of his relationship with Japaul, he is the Consultant Geoscientist for Nefel Exploration Ltd in Abeokuta, Ogun State and Consortium Limited Abuja respectively. He is also the Project Manager and Executive Director for Matrix Geotechnologies Limited with her parent company in Canada.

He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Best Kamco Resources Marketing Ltd., Nigeria and also was the Geologist/Geoscientist at EM Technical Nigeria Ltd, Lagos. He is a graduate of Applied Geophysics (B.Sc.) at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and had an M.Sc./PhD in Counselling and Psychology at the TBU, Washington DC, USA. He had a Master's Degree in Business Administration MBA, (Distinction) at the Fountain University, Osun State, Nigeria and a holder of 2018 Advance Certificate in Entrepreneurship/Startup Business at the York University, Canada. York Educational Development Institute (YEDI), Canada.

He is COMEG certified, Council of Mining Engineers and Geoscientist, a Core Member, Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC). Member - American Association of Petroleum Geologist, Member - National Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE), Member - Miners Association of Nigeria (MAN). He has over 25 years active mining and geological works experience in West Africa, North America and China as well as Singapore.

Jegede Gbenga is currently the General Manager of Japaul Mines & Products Limited, a subsidiary of Japaul Gold & Ventures Plc. He possesses an NCE Certificate from Osun State College of Education. He also graduated from the University of Port-Harcourt with a BSc. Accounting.

He joined the company as a trucking manager in 2007 and grew through the ranks. Based on his outstanding performance he was transferred to one of the company's associate company, which is fully mining into Taraba state. He worked in the Banking Industry for over 10 years before joining Japaul Gold Ventures Plc. He was promoted to the position of Assistant General Manager to manage Port-Harcourt and Bayelsa Depots. He was elevated to Quarry manager and assigned to manage one of the subsidiary's quarrying site located in Calabar, Cross River State.
